Ma's (breakfast) or RT's in Kimberling. Jills BBQ is just south of the 13 Bridge at the turn to Mill Creek COE. Good 'cue and smoked burgers. Fillin' Station a little further down 13 in Lampe, excellent KC style BBQ and daily home style specials (open Wed-Sat). Don't skip dessert- homemade cobblers and cake.

Harter House is the grocery store, and altar of all things that used to moo. Tackle Shop, gas, and a hardware store in Kimberling. Ulrich up the road for marine, also a tackle shop there, down in the parking lot.

There is zero reason to go into Branson if you don't want to. It's actually one of my goals for each trip- staying out of Branson.

Good to hear jills is still in buisiness.  Been a few years since i ate there but loved it.

Dave knows almost all the hotspots to eat! He did leave out a couple of the best............Reeds Spring Pizza (rated #1 in MO. by USA today and they offer a large 1 topping pizza, every Mon. nite for $10). Leona's on old Hwy 13 has good food. The BEST kept secret is the restaurant in Stonebridge at the country club. The BEST omelet in town. We go there almost every Sunday after church. Most people don't realize that it's open to the public, you just stop at the main gate and ask for a guest pass for the restaurant. Now, if only I knew half as much about fishing!

We keep intending to try it.  Timing never works out.  I know Bill Babler likes it.

I think you'd like it.  Not an overly extensive menu (although they typically have walleye and it's one of the few places I've been that serve quail), simple salad bar - not overly fancy by any means but still a nice atmosphere.  Jeans and t-shirts are pretty common.

I gotta admit that to this day the ribeye is the first and ONLY thing I've ever ordered there (in my opinion it's just that good) but everything else looks great as well.  We've been going by there for about twenty years now and it hasn't changed a bit.  We even drove over there from the metropolis of Eureka Springs after we got married (kind of like Vegas south to us) for our wedding dinner!  Pretty exciting drive in fog by the way.

Everybody that I've sent over there has been pretty impressed.

Flat Creek has the very best catfish on the planet. All you can eat every night.

Always wondered about that place.  Need to check it out I guess!

We had breakfast there a few years ago prior to playing golf and it was fantastic.  Also had burgers for lunch another time and it was equally good.  Kind of forgot about it!

Spot on about the pizza.

I was just trying to stay within 5 minutes of the bridge, either way.

I agree! I found out that Ma's, Filling Station, and Flat Creek ALL get their catfish from the same supplier. Believe it or not, It comes from Viet Nam!
