Wait, wait, wait.  It needs to be spread out a little more, each of the St. Louis 5/7 whatever they were named, and anyone else that claims to be an expert should be required to have a "non-expert", "non-Meremec" fisherman in the boat with them, sort of like a draw buddy tournament.  Be a "non-meremec" and definitely a "non-expert" I will take one for the team and volunteer to be the back of the boat guy for someone.  But we still get to keep some spots and have a fish fry afterward right?

well i have a snoopy pole and some beetle spins.....

The last time I went to the Meramec, I was just about to launch the canoe and I hear this voice.

It says "Have you seen ScottyD?"

I said nothing and quickly left!

sorry someone claimed to be an expert here????.....the only thing I claimed was most fisherman will score very few fish from the Middle Meramec.

Also this challenge doesn't have to be on the Meramec, I will go where ever you boys need me to go.

Chief wins the internet for today.

Back to this fish off thing.....

If you girls are half serious about it I propose the following....

three day online tournament for OAF members only, any river or stream named in the forums by any legal methods. Catch, measure, photo and immediate release.  Bass of any species may be submitted, enter up to five fish total.

submit photo showing proof of date and time on measuring stick, (hawg trough, Berkeley aluminum, etc).  Pinching of tails is permitted, length only, no weighing required.  (3 judge panel to determine winner? Volunteers?

Prize is bragging rights and a 6 pack of Schlitz, warm.

what am I missing?

"Floaters make it hard to fish but sometimes they improve the scenery..."
