Getting Ned Ready

How do you keep the superglue fresh?  The Neds usually last so long that by the time I need to get the glue back out to rig up another the tip of the glue is dried shut and I have a bear of a time to get more out.  I typically use the blue bottle gel stuff.

My blue bottle from last year is still good, I think a lower storage temps might help. I know I used to have Pro Soft Bait glue and it required refrigeration for storage

It's hit and miss depending on storage, temps, use. Some bottles just seem to last longer.

The wire guard trick seems to help keep the nozzles open longer.

I'd recommend email.  He occasionally has "gangsta" flashbacks that cause him to act out a bit and he can get a little rough.  

Probably has something to do with maintaining his street cred I guess.

Ever since Cabela's opened up their operation down the street he's been a little "on edge".

Inhibitors are available thru the website.  The Inhibitor.  He has all kinds of rust proof products.     The Flambeau boxes are also extremely rust proof.  That is why I usually have at least 20 Ned's pre-glued.  Buy your gel at Harbor Freight, it is extremely low cost in the small tubes fold the tube from the bottom up just as you would tooth paste and once you open it up make sure the spout is upright when you store it  and you can get every drop out of it.  If not, its so cheap, just throw the rest away and open a new tube. It is currently 10 tubes for $2.99 but most of the time you can get a coupon and get 10 tubes for $1.99  It's gel and really holds well.

Zinkerz or Zero, and cut them. Far better than the TRD.

Few other options, but that is the staple.
