4/12/17- BIG bass report

Hit the lake with the wife yesterday and fished for close to 8 hours.  Apparently I was not the only person who took off of work for some fishing as it was pretty busy out there.  I had been hammering the whites every time out but they weren't where I had been catching them at today.  Caught 36 bass on a combination of a spinner bait, 2 different jerk baits, Ned Rig, and a swim bait on an underspin head.  Water got up to 66.8 degrees up towards Highpoint.  Caught the swamp donkey on a War Eagle spinner bait in about 6 feet of water.  After a few quick pictures she was released back to be caught again.

What did the big girl weigh?

Beautiful fish, musta slammed that SB, hope there is a quality SB bite down near the mutton/RB area next week. Good Times

I didn't have a scale so I didn't weigh her.  I have caught largemouths in Georgia that weighed 12 pounds.  My guestimation is that she was between 9 to 10 but that is just a guestimation.  She HAMMERED the spinner bait!  I had caught a catfish on the same spinner bait at that spot last week and thought I had another slimy cat.

Caught some stinkin' bass trying to catch crappies yesterday...  man they're a pain!

Spinner bait fishing sounds fun though.  Thanks for posting!

I caught some stinkin' crappie while bass fishing also.  As long as it pulls back I don't discriminate
