Ketchup Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 I agree, but if a person has any common sense about them whatsoever, then they will know not to run wide open. If they do, then obviously they either 1: could care less about themselves or their boat, 2: they have way better eyesight/forward facing sonar than i do. Chances of them hurting anyone else in their venture is slim to zilch, as no one is on th water for the most part. Just odd to me that guys pipe up telling others not to come for a vacation if they plan to get on the water. Never knew you needed to run on plane to fish. Like Vernon said on another post, ive done some pretty, not so smart things in my life, but this not going fishing is no where close to any of those experiences. Putting a boat in on ANY area lake right now, TO ME, is no different than it is any other time, as far as being careful with your surroundings. Back your boat in, pull it off the trailer, go slo to a fishy spot, drop the TM, and have fun. Whats so bad about that in high water? on a side note, i dropped my boat off at Hydro-Tec this morning to get serviced, or i think i would have skipped work and found me one of those fishy spots. dtrs5kprs, crazy4fishin, Champ188 and 1 other 4 TinBoats BassClub. Members THE RAT Posted May 2, 2017 Members Posted May 2, 2017 Can anyone say if Moonshine, State park, or Long Creek ramp at Big Cedar are open to launch a boat? Thanks

What is life without a little adventure. Come on guys let's all go fishing with a thousand things floating underneath our boats. Heck a fenceline ain't nothing these days most trolling motors these days are built to handle a wrap or two of barbed wire. And lower units these days can handle a rock bluff no problem. Don't be scurred come on in, the waters fine.

motoman Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 Fished kimberling today; visibility 2+ feet. Little to no debris. Just like any other spring storm. 13 bridge is open to car traffic and you can easily idle under the north end of the 13 bridge. And for those of you who think it's a bad idea to come and fish; stay home. For those wanting to fish; don't run the big engine thru people's backyards. You can easily see where the original shoreline is. Heck........even my iPhone can tell me that. I don't recommend commenting on water conditions if you haven't been on the water. - I've seen drone footage of parts of the lake; but that looks nothing like kimberling city area. Just high water here, with less visibility than normal. And some of these pesky critters..........some.(trying to post pic) Daryk Campbell Sr 1

It was a bit of a grind.........had 6 in the boat in an hour and a half fishing Ned (2 keepers) on the original shoreline this morning........plucked one out of the bushes with a keitech........I suspect more and more will move in; slowly but surely. I threw a spinnerbait in the flooded stuff here and there; in hindsight, probably not as much as I should have though. Rest of the day took some work to boat a total of 12. Great weather though. Glad I didnt cancel our trip; due to all the gloom and doom reporting. - WARNING: SCARY IMAGE AHEAD - (that pic was from just hours ago. Water looks pretty great to me:-) vernon, buckwhisperer, crazy4fishin and 2 others 5
