Champ188 Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 I did a Google map from Springfield to Blue Eye and looks like 65 is your best bet. vernon 1

It's been awhile since it's been necessary but I know we've done it in the past at Truman, Bull Shoals, Greers and a couple of others. In fact, parking has usually been the only issue when launching from parking lots or access roads since the parking lots are shrunk or completely gone. We typically just use the outboard to get off of the trailer and then run the troller until it's obvious that we're clear of shoreline underwater hazards and then proceed as per usual. I ask because when we get there tomorrow we'll be slipping the boat for the week so all we need to do is dump the boat and then meet back at the resort where we can drop the trailer in the resort trailer parking and we're good to go. So, we don't need to park for the day - just get the boat in the water. We're staying on Indian Point but locations really isn't that important. Looks like a nice day for a boat ride anyways! Thanks! Simple to do. If COE doesn't close the park. vernon 1
Members vpk2488 Posted May 5, 2017 Members Posted May 5, 2017 Would think Indian point marina should be fine, especially since water has dropped a tad. Showed they had the courtesy dock pulled up in that drone video and that lot has some slope so shouldn't be too flat there by the water
176champion Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 Water level went up, it's 931.67 now.. dtrs5kprs 1 I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! Bruce Philips
m&m Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 State park ramp is now open. Just drove through there and barricades are down ramp is open. Mike vernon and dtrs5kprs 2
Bill Babler Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 Got a bad feeling if they are going to close Cape Fair once they took down the barricades that State Park and some of the others won't be far behind. I'm going to run down JJ right now and check the old main lake ramp at Combs Ferry Lots of parking and a big ramp if the road is not blocked and water across it at a low gap. http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Bill Babler Posted May 5, 2017 Posted May 5, 2017 Bad News; I checked Combs Ferry and Cow Creek. At Cow you can still get in, there is room for 18 rigs. At Combs, the water is over the access road and you cannot get to either the ramp or the parking lot. Bummer. I'm telling you this one more time at Cow. Be Careful, or you will knock a chunk out of your keel. Keel guards are fine, but for this ramp you need a Hamby if you are by yourself or be mighty careful. I would think that Campbell Point would be open. Lord knows when its normal you cannot launch there, as it is to flat. You would have to launch off the parking lot and it may be gated. Boys and Girls when you launch off these parking lots, be very careful. Have that motor trimmed up to the max and be careful of both your prop and skag. Just had a prop cleaned and polished and it was $175 large. You crank a chunk off the skag and bend up that 600 dollar blade and you have just whished you wouldn't have. Don't get impatient this will not last. It is costing all us guide types thousands and the resorts owners the same, but that is part of doing business on a COE pond. I just thank the Lord everyday that he has granted me this opportunity. Good Luck vernon, dtrs5kprs, Bassmod and 3 others 6 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com

I launched above the guard rail once at a ramp on Truman, I've never been to the ramp before. Luckily I missed the guard rail and didn't even know about it for months. dtrs5kprs 1
