176champion Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Do you mean this one Nope..i don't have one like that..the double plopper with the wire between the 2 little ploppers...lol I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! Bruce Philips
Royal Blue Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 That's the new BPS knock off! I have a double plopper. I had trouble with it sinking and then realized I was throwing it on Flouro. I've since thrown it on braid but haven't been bit on it yet.
176champion Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 I tried one 3 times and it didnt want to run right, one of the ploppers would actually come out of water. so i put it back in package and they are in the shed...lol I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! Bruce Philips
MOPanfisher Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 I still have a whopper popper I bought in 2015 during a period when I couldn't fish. Not sure what color it is or what size, but I do know it has never been used. But by golly I have one.
Riverwhy Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 I threw the smaller version at bass busting shad in mid April and between the two of us we caught 59 bass. Average size around 2 1/2 pounds. I'm hooked for life. Carl W 1
Bill Babler Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 The 90 series is basically all I or my clients use and I have had very good success with it up to this year. Since we are not having a topwater bite. dtrs5kprs, Carl W, Donna G and 2 others 5 http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 I threw the double for about 10 minutes while i was trolling uppper bull for walleye, Caught 2 and missed two. I found you had to throw it and wait a minute for it to right itself and then start cranking Royal Blue and Ham 2

Bill Babler Posted May 13, 2017 Posted May 13, 2017 Yep, 8 pound Maxi on spinning rods for my clients. They can throw it a mile and never have had a problem. Only problem I have ever had is trying to release a fish last year on one and buried it in my thumb. moguy1973 Posted May 14, 2017 Posted May 14, 2017 The BPS double down plopper looks nice, but it seems like they have the same issues as the River2Sea ones with the split rings. The 3.5" BPS ones were recalled due to bad split rings, but the 5" ones are in the stores, and advertised in the ads this week. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
