I had some of them. Can clearly remember when they were the new things to fish with. i come out of thr time when plastic worns with a tiny prop and 3 hooks in the body were the rage.

My grandpa and I tore them up one year on a farm pond with that setup when I was about 10 yrs old or so.  We used a black with silver flake worm that had a red curly tail.

the ones I had came in only two colors. Red and brown.

As far as the bait caster goes I do not think I seen a free spoolone till sometime after I gotvout og the Navy. I learned the old fashioned hard way.

Trusty Sidewinder spoons, caught a lot of trout on these WAY back, silver was the best color, tied a bit of feathers on the treble, back then you could limit out on rainbows in Taney that avg 3-4 lbs EACH! not so many fishermen then

I don't use my glass ones anymore, to many sticky fingers.  The farther back in the swamp/woods the more I lose. Michigan, like Missouri has a huge meth, opioid problem. They will steal anything any chance they get.  I do still use my minnow pails, they stay in the front of the truck if I'm not close.  And I am an old mineer bucket hoarder, I buy all I find. Lot's of great garage sales and auctions in Northern Michigan, all the retired auto workers are passing or giving it up and very few of there kids know what they have or don't want it. It is really amazing what you can find.

I still have my Mitchell 308, a Pearl Handled Ambassadeur, New Creme Worms, River Runts and assorted paraphernalia. I'm up for a 1960s derby anytime. We could allow Cottonseed Cake and Ivory soap along with any self collected native bait like Mussels, Hellgramites, Stonnerollers etc.

Yep, If you can cast that Ambassador you can cast anything.  The bird nests I made with those.  I still have them on my Catfish poles.
