Caught a rainbow trout in the lake, how commons that?

I've asked around and no one I've talked to has ever caught a trout out of TR. I did on Saturday around noon, around kimberling area, on a 3/8oz, double willow spinnerbait. I was shocked! Anyone else ever catch one out of the lake?

Yes, seen lots of posts in the past. Usually all good sized trout too.

Was good size to me, 16.25".

I have caught 3 in the last 10 years. All were good size - 16 to 20 inches. Up river of Beaver, it is even more common.

No real surprise, with all the water that rushed down from the Roaring River Trout Park from the rains.  Bound to be a few more swimming around.

goes to show that trout aren't as hard to catch as the trout'ers believe they are.  sounds like they need to add some spinner baits the the tackle department at tim's and the roaring river store.

i've caught a number of them over the years and somewhat all over the lake.  i've caught them on a plastic worm, a jig and chunk, a spinner bait, and a jerk bait.  on bull shoals they are fun to catch fishing under the lights at night.

I caught one about 17 inches in Baxter last year

I have caught 3 so far, two on a Ned and one on something else (I can't remember).

Think of how many of Johnny Morris' trout are now in Table Rock from Dogwood Canyon. I would say quite a few come from there and espeacially the one aarch caught in Baxter. With all these floods he has basically done annually stockings!
