SpoonDog Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 And at the end of the day, the office park was still built. If a pair of eagles can nest comfortably adjacent to a DC area regional airport, I think you're gonna have a tough time convincing a judge boat noise is a serious concern on a rural Missouri reservoir. Like I said though, you're welcome to waste your time and money. When thousands of birds are tangled in fishing gear or poisoned with lead tackle every year, you think it's a very good idea to set the bar for violating the Lacey Act at driving past birds in a noisy boat. I can think of a couple ways that might backfire. 2 hours ago, MoCarp said: I beg to differ!!! Many that I talk too are not happy with a noisy bar on the lake... Complete with drunks/drugs/trash/etc that comes from business of that sort. Suggesting that is like saying LOZ has no issues with boat wakes.....ones playbook to seek an ends to a means includes litigation.... You've demonstrated to all of us you don't know what "sort" of people are using the business. Maybe it's not your cup of tea, but I don't think reading an awful lot into a fuzzy nighttime photo lifted off Facebook merits a federal court case. There have been six incidents reported to Water Patrol from Stockton in the past year, compared to 78 at LOZ, and 28 from Table Rock. They're not even in the same ballpark. The Corps owns most of the property around Stockton and has to my knowledge has expressed zero interest in either developing or selling it. Not only is the thing you're worried about not happening, it's not projected to even start happening any time in the near future. I don't know why we're supposed to throw a fit.
Jerry Rapp Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 music or no music. Wake boats, cruisers, cigarette boats. Just be careful how far you push the ranting. The fact is that money talks. Us fishermen, even if we are fortunate enough to have $30,000 plus fishing boat, will never be the controlling force economic wise. If it came down to it, my money would on the wake boats, music at night, cruisers etc winning out. I am sure they would like to see fishing boats confined to the back third of lake arms/coves and only be allowed to fish on Monday through Thursday between the hours of daylight and 10 am. But only before Memorial Day and after Labor Day. Pile it on if you want to, but I really think this scenario could be reality in 20 years. Maybe 30 years for lakes like Stockton, but 10 years for LOZ and Table Rock.

Pehaps we can have a Carrington Event and have the outdoors to our-selfs, probably should stockpile some tackle 1st.... the "people" who cause the problems will be the 1st to go in an apocalypse https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_storm_of_1859 MONKEYS? what monkeys?
