I see the Rock is #15 in the central division of the top 100 best bass lakes. Bass also claims that 75% of the bass population are largemouth based on state biologist 2016 electroshocking survey. I wonder what part of the lake they were in?????

One heck of a good fishery. Get to fish a lot of lakes around the country while traveling for work, Besides the delta in NorCal theirs know other place I would rather be.

It's my understanding that the electric current is only effective to about 15' deep, so that may somewhat explain why a majority of fish sampled were largemouth.

It seems different fish get stunned depending on a lot of factors, I know at LOZ below Truman dam, that the really big blues didn't get stunned as easy..so MDC biologists used hand lines to catch and tag monster blues....walleyes once shocked can abort spawning..If the Shock boat headed up to the dam at Truman you could see walleyes floating down...those days you might as well went home.seemed it took 10-12 hours after a pass for the fishing to return to normal........

That's what AGFC says when they shock Beaver for their surveys, smallmouth get missed so they never get good smallie numbers.

I really didn't need to hear about how many fish "come up".  I was perfectly happy thinking there must have been a fish kill or some tragic event that has caused me such a painful past 2-3 weeks of fishing. Now I find out there are fish in the lake.  Over the last three weeks.......between the lack of quality fish and welding on a destroyed boat dock I may sell out and build my own lake in the middle of BFE.
