What's the drag chain do? Are they legal?

They keep your boat parallel to the current as you drift downstream. They let you drift downstream at almost the same speed as the current. Makes for great Zig Jig fishing at <10,000 CFS.

legal lots of places. not legal on the Norfork. I'll never recommend anything that is illegal. I'm an Eagle Scout. It sticks with you almost as much as being a Marine does.

Oh and Semper fi Ham

I don't deserve that. My Father in Law is a Marine that has not been on active duty for 50 years. He's still a Marine.

While I have friends that have served in all the branches of the Armed Services, I never served in any branch of the Armed Services. They have my respect and admiration though.

Pictures would be nice

Like your buddy JoeD says if you don't have pictures it did not happen....... I copied Ham's system only difference is I use a heavy wire connector that will give in a "hard" hang up, I also have a length of the rope in the boat so it can be jerked free (easier on Peggy) from the front seat.

No problem, but it's going to take me a few days. Not trying to be a tease, but I'm headed out of town in the AM for a week and I'm not fooling with it until I get back.
