Minn Kota Ultrex update

Well since my initial review of the Moter back in April I have used it just a few times. And as we speak I'm fixing to probably get my third Moter sent from minn Kota.  It appears they are having sensor issues in ththe foot pedal. My first one worked great for a few trips then it quit steering on the heel side of the pedal, remote and spotlock still worked just not using the pedal.  Took it to a local tech, minn Kota sent me a brand new Moter.  Finally got to try it out this weekend. After 5 minutes started doing the same thing except this time won't turn either way.   Taking it back to the tech this week.  Frustrating!  Fantastic Moter when working but one more time I'll probably go back to the edge  or let them get bugs worked out.   Minn Kota service was great in replacing the Moter, but this gets old.  Forgot the remote this weekend so was virtually impossible to steer it.  I'll give an update on how they handle this    Bret.

Have you downloaded the app to use your phone as a remote?  The terrova has the app and it works great. Can also down load all updates through the app and upload them to the motor via phone/app

I forgot about that Dwayne, I'll download that and least use that tonight   Wanna try some black spinnerbaits tonight.  Thanks

 Update on my latest situation,  turns out apparently had a bad connection so I was getting dirty power even though it was showing 24 V at my connection. Cleaned everything up and it went to working.   I won't know for sure until I go fishing I'm just tried it here at the house but it works every time now! Minnkota actually contacted mE  and said they have a new circuit board it will be available in two weeks that will fix this problem in the older motors… So if you're thinking about getting one I would do it they are definitely the best thing I've ever used it sounds like they've about got the problem figured out hopefully

Well my second moter they sent me turned out to do the same thing after just one trip on the water.  Turns out there a sensor panel in the foot control that had a certain batch of them go bad due to temperature fluctuations.   They sent my service guy a new and corrected panel, so far that seems to,have done the trick.  Maybe they have that bug corrected now.
