There's a scene showing Bateman crossing the main channel of the Lake in a 16', open, aluminum V-bottom with a tiller-steered outboard powering it.  Not another boat nor a boat-wake in sight during daylight hours on a nice, warm, Sunny day.

Now imagine the shock when viewers decide to go to LOZO based on scenes from "Ozark" and the surprise they're going to get :o

Boy that was a low budget flick if that's the best rig they could put him in.

Anybody else watch this?  They had a few shots from the strip. And from the air. But other than that nothing looked the same.

The Blue Cat Lodge which is supposed to look like Alhonna has nothing in common. They were pumping gas in the middle of the day on July 4th weekend. Water just as calm.  Every shot of the lake there were no docks to be seen.

They did make the gentlemans quarters look better though.  Lol

I'm through episode 7.  Like the show, but I agree, the lake it was shot at doesn't look the same at all, including shorelines and docks.  (I don't think I've ever seen a dock at LOTO like the dock at the Bird's house).

The show does go over the top with making the locals look like something out of Deliverance.  I'm not a local, but 99% of the locals I've met are just as ordinary as me, just with a much stronger accent :)

The Blue Cat Lodge in the show reminds me of what some places were like back in the 1980's...The Clown and Ozark BBQ come to mind.

Glad it was renewed for another season.

I can pin each and every character in the cast to someone I know around here, so I'd say the depiction is pretty spot on.

The lawmen in the cast are a lot more laid back and cooler than the ones in real life though.

Hey Hey! She is someones Mother, Sister, Girlfriend... Ex-Wife.... Shoot I could be related to her......at least Hydro did not mention names. Everyone knows those folks up at LOZ are more sufisticated then usins down south......

Not to digress too much, but....

I had my bachelor party Thanksgiving weekend at LOZ. Let's just say they had the B squad that weekend. lol I left with more than a hangover. Some stuff you can't forget no matter how many drinks you have.

I have watched most of the first season. What angers me is the way they make locales look like a lot of silly people living in shacks.  Thats why thses summer city peole think they own the whole place lock stock and barrel. They think they can come out here and do what ever they please.

It's a fictional TV show.  Be glad they didn't make them speak French or something.
