An application for permission to hold an event must be filed with the MSHP prior to the event. Was this properly done? I'd probably guess that it was. Which is even worse....... Most Attorneys will include as many parties as possible so....organizers, participants, MO Highway/Water Patrol for the permit....etc. etc. You'd think that incredible amount of dock damage would unite LOZ shoreline Property Owners and incite them to form a group pursuing compensation for their losses. If only people would stick together they could put and end to this type of irresponsible property-damage not only on LOZ but elsewhere. One thing for sure, if these docks are Insured, any Insurance Co. Underwriter with a brain will greatly increase the Premiums for LOZ Dock-Insurance once these claims start rolling in and the identical date of when the losses were incurred all points to the date of this Shoot-out thing ! magicwormman and dtrs5kprs 2
snagged in outlet 3 Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 I was down in July and these weren't there. New buoys in Big Cedar cove. They are at the first big cove on the south side. It's a long idle to get to the marina. I bet those docks inside the line are happy. They've had big no wake signs out for years. Ozarks Chillbilly 1
Members JerryK Posted September 19, 2017 Members Posted September 19, 2017 I just saw KY3 reporting that Sen. Blount has called for a stop to the Corp. shoreline plan. This isn't over yet I hope.
bobby b. Posted September 20, 2017 Posted September 20, 2017 My neighbor recently talked to the duty ranger who said that the removal of buoys are off the table but the solar thing is still in play. They are still getting negative feedback on the solar.

I see you repping that Cobalt! Great brand, weird to see that Malibu boats bought them. Surely that won't change much in the manufacturing process and might make them even better. Then again... There are several reports coming in from areas in Florida about enhanced damages to large, industrial roofs that had Solar Panels installed vs. those adjacent sections that didn't. One Miller/Coors beer distributor in Ft. Myers recounted how his employees who had no where else to go were sheltering in his warehouse when sections of the roof that they had Solar Panels installed on started ripping off in the high winds. He moved them over to a another section that had no Panels on them and the roofing there stayed intact. Not until after the storm had passed did they realize what sections of the roof were destroyed. He later posted that his Insurance Adjuster was finding the same results in other areas and an investigation was certainly going to be conducted. "Multistate MillerCoors wholesaler, J.J. Taylor, has facilities throughout the state of Florida. As we reported last week, the distributor had established a communication plan well ahead of time to account for employees. But of course, nothing can prepare one for a storm of this magnitude. "We went out front early, had really good communication the with whole staff, and I think that paid off," principal John J. Taylor III told BBD. "We had over 150 people -- employees families -- at both Fort Myers and Tampa." He says everything was going along swimmingly in Fort Myers -- "until solar panels started ripping off the roof and taking big chunks of roof with it." It was a brand new building addition, to boot. " "But we got people into the part of building that didn’t have solar panels," John said. "All of our employees that we can reach have been accounted for." magicwormman 1
