grizwilson Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 With my medical issues continuing to improve my thoughts are focused on getting out soon, likely with restrictions and limitations. I am considering one of those carts you strap your boat to portage it and your equipment. Any experience ideas or suggestions appreciated. Daryk Campbell Sr Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 I built one. They are great on flat hard ground. If you have sand and uneven area, it gets tricky. I also am toting close to 350 pounds boat and equipment. Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction. moguy1973 Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 I bought mine on Amazon. Works great with a thin ratchet strap to hold it to the cart. The one I bought has solid foam wheels as I didn't want to worry about pneumatic ones that could go flat. ness Posted August 7, 2017 Posted August 7, 2017 I bought one years ago from Piragis Northwoods. Very well made. Like the one on Amazon but with pneumatic tires. John
grizwilson Posted August 10, 2017 Author Posted August 10, 2017 Thanks, to all. One of our Forum Brothers set me up with one. It is the type that the rods on top go into the scupper holes on a SOT. It is perfect, all I had to do is air up the tires. He explained how to use it, and demonstrated a one man loading technique. Now just get well enough to use it. Dr. Apt. next Thursday.... Hope and Pray. Thank You OA Brother! BilletHead, Flysmallie and Daryk Campbell Sr 3 “If a cluttered desk is a sign, of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk a sign?”- Albert Einstein
