Yeah I guess it did.   It wasn't long after that when I realized it was way easier to take their money by fixing their boats than it was to beat them at fishing.

We've got our trip finalized for Oct. 19th to 22nd.  Hoping for a better outcome than last year's trip.  Any specific tactics or baits to recommend?  Didn't know if that time of year is best for jigs around docks?  Looking forward to a calm lake for once!

Late October is black buzzbait/Whopper Plopper, square bill and lipless cranks, and jig pitchin' time.  

Have those baits on deck and you can be assured that you are properly armed.

I would add white rooster tail for white bass

Definitely, or a white swimming jig, or maybe a blue/chrome rattle trap.  Them whites and hybrids have made a few trips when crappie wouldn't cooperate.
