Just because my posts aren't incredibly long winded doesn't mean I don't have the right to say anything.

I'm the only one on here that thinks if you are going to call a fish 20+" or 18.5"  or whatever, that it should be verified accurately?? I would think a guy that's all about detail in his writing could use a little detail in measuring his fish. Especially since everyone looks up to him. That's not setting a good example for all of Al's disciples.

Also, I would hope my kids would have too much going on in their lives to look up thewhitesnoop and his posts on a fishing forum. Where as for you Wrench, your kids would find posts of you telling people to STFU

Being long winded has nothing to do with any of this. Being a jerk does. The fish is obviously a nice fish. So what if it's not exactly 20" or whatever he says it is. It's still swimming for the next guy to catch and that is the important thing. You talk about all these fish you catch, but have never posted any fish pictures to back up that claim. How do we know you even fish? Al's length estimate is more believable than anything you have ever said since he actually posts pictures of fish.

Your last line is a doozy! Who's to say wrenches kids aren't busy like yours? Do your kids even fish? I know wrench has posted pictures of his daught actually on the boat chasing and catching bass. Also, your kids would see you telling wrench to STFU as well since you literally started off your posts by telling him to do just that. Does it get more hypocritical than that? Also, not every other post wrench as ever made is directed towards others from a negative stand point. He actually does post about fishing on LoZ and offers help to others on fixing their motors since he does it for a living. What have you ever posted that could be seen as helpful to somebody else? All you have done is belittle others and brag about your unbelievable fishing success while never showing any proof that you even actually.

Al, I was just kidding about the ned rig stuff.  I know Z-man makes a full line of plastics.  But the thought of you using a Ned Rig for some reason strikes me as funny.  

I also don't care what you measure on, as the difference between an 18 and 18.5 does not make or break a trip in my mind.  I have a 20" mark on my rods and everything gets measured by that.  If I'm off a quarter or a half what difference does it make.  We all like to catch big fish but a trip is not measured by big fish alone.

Mitch- I don't know what you're talking about with that Rand Paul comment. 

Seth- I don't know why I have to explain simple things to you. Here's how it went: Wrench told me to STFU. In return I told him to STFU. Wrench brought up my kids (for some reason) so I responded likewise. So, see if you can tell us who was the instigator here......that's right! It was Wrench.   Especially since I hadn't said anything negative to or about wrench. I merely called Al out for estimating the length of his fish. Wish he obviously wanted me to do.

I just thought that since Al is the "GOLD STANDARD" of stream bass fisherman, he at least wouldn't measure his fish in a way that you would expect from some once a year memorial crowd guy that you you might come upon, that thinks every smallmouth he catches was a 4 pounder. 

It's called a measuring board. You can get one for $12-$15. It will tell you EXACTLY how long your fish is. It's worth the investment, although it might cut down on the number of 18, 19 and 20" fish you catch compared to previous measuring devices such as paddles, rods, the bottom of your shoe, or that stupid tape measure sticker MDC gives out.
