Rodmaker Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 I know this is a off topic question for this forum, but I was wondering what the best cell phone company, for reception etc. for southwest Missouri. I and the spouse will be retiring and moving down there within a year. I currently have Verizon and it seems to be pretty good regardless of where I go. Thanks.
fishinwrench Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 ATT is good anywhere that any of the others are, and often it's still good when the others aren't. Daughter changed to Sprint when she changed college's and I guess it's good around KC but it sucks everywhere else.
Basfis Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 VZW is solid on TR. dtrs5kprs and magicwormman 2
176champion Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 I have Verizon and have no issues, matter of fact where i live only Verizon service works, AT&T and the rest dont work here where im at. magicwormman 1 I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! Bruce Philips
cheesemaster Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 I have AT&T in the Cape Fair area and it works fine. I get service wherever I fish in that area.
slothman Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 I have verizon. I got it because it seems to work better in the more remote places that I go often. I have often service when many people around me with other plans don't. magicwormman 1
aarchdale@coresleep.com Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 Ive had both. At&T was much better around lake O. I fish Bull and Table Rock and they both are about the same. Sometimes my verizon will have a signal over a buddies At&T and vice versa. Stockton and Pomme it seems like My verizon isnt as good as At&T
Champ188 Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 Verizon outperforms AT&T by a long shot in the White River arm. coachtil and magicwormman 2
fishinwrench Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 I have noticed that sometimes a phone will indicate that it has a decent service connection (on your little Evil Knievel ramp up top) .....until you actually try to call someone, then BOOM, you ain't got squat!
m&m Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 Rodmaker, I am in the dam area and my AT&T works fine until I get into the far reaches of Long creek or way up the white river. The real question should be about internet service as what I have found it is slow here. by the way, what area of the lake will you be living? Mike
