it would be my guess you might be fishing the toyota owners tournament.  good luck and hope you find how to catch them.  table rock is fishing is on the difficult side during the day right now.  if you are just down here to catch some fish, i would consider going at night.  smallmouth fishing at night has been very good.

I was actually going up for vacation and bringing the boat with being so close but I did checkout that tournament if I can get my dad to pull Boat since I don’t own a Toyota. We might give it a shot.

Regardless of why you are coming to fish Tablerock I think it is good idea to do your homework to gain basic information, however fish it with an open mind.  Go with your gut and fish the conditions with your strengths. This site is a great source of information but just because John Doe caught them yesterday on blah blah does not mean they will be biting the same thing /way tomorrow.

Lotta truth there. Been plenty of times I've read the most recent successful fish catching reports.....drop the tub in the water......get shut out trying to replicate that "pattern".

You have 2 major things... finding the fish and getting them to bite...just like abk and bassbuster said they could be there today and gone tomorrow... I'm out here at Kimberling City now trying to find them..

Look up top at the maps that have been marked by Bill babler.  They will point you toward some banks to try in the area of lake you are going.

I'm not very good fisherman so I keep it simple and just drag something around in whatever depth I think fish might be.  15 to 40 foot usually.   I like to fish c rig fish dr or speed craw...or try tube on a jig head or a Ned rig.  I also learned to drop shot recently if too much cover to drag your baits.  That worked great earlier this summer.  Try pitching a jig or tx rig sweet beaver around the rock ledges along the bank. Use anything small that's green pumpkin, pbj or watermelon red...and you should catch fish.

you'll stumble into some fish if you fish locations marked on the maps above...and hopefully...you'll enjoy some beautiful days in the ozarks...have fun

WATERMELON RED?!?!?

But Dave said watermelon red never caught ANYTHING!

The more people who throw watermelon red, the more fish the rest of us will be able to catch. Dragging watermelon red anything doesn't even qualify as fishing pressure. They don't even glance at it.

The question is which watermelon red?..there is so many variations of watermelon red out there.

You shut up. You're just needlessly complicating matters.  :D
