Champ188 Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Was just checking the regatta listings for October and Table Rock is gonna be absolutely hammered with year-end championships and such. Annual Homer Sloan derby is this Saturday out of Campbell Point (they used to also launch/weigh in at Viola), plus there's another Champion owners derby out of Kimberling City. The ginormous (225 boats on the permit) Cops 4 Kids derby is next Tuesday out of the state park, then there's a 150-boat high school tournament Oct. 14-15. Joe Bass is having its championship Oct. 21-22 and Anglers in Action is here the following weekend, Oct. 28-29. Both are permitted for 150 boats. Sooooo ... I'm sure we can expect some "temporary new members" and lots of questions over the next few weeks. Just sayin ... might want to keep this in mind when posting information. merc1997 Bo, Daryk Campbell Sr, Hunter53 and 7 others 10
Royal Blue Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 There's a big Toyota bonus buck event next weekend too. 10/15-10/17. I'll be at the pond to the east if anyone is looking for me!
Quillback Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Wow, lot of guys will be out pre-fishing too.

Just keep me posted on how many accidental walleye you catch and where. I'm good you can keep the rest to yourself.😀

LD Fisher Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Figures, the wife and I will be on the water Friday and maybe Saturday. I hope we don't need traffic lights while we're on the water!
97procraft Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 I will be one of those boats heading down this month. I just wanted to say thanks for letting me come down and experience what your lake has to offer again. I don't want to move you off of your spot on the lake, so just let me know where you plan on fishing and I will make sure to stay out of your way on your lake. Thanks again for the invite.
Members slowbait Posted October 3, 2017 Members Posted October 3, 2017 I agree with Champ. For example, the Homer Sloan tourney used to be a tourney you wouldn't miss. But now look at the payback, $120 to enter, 50 plus boats, and you can't even get your money back for 4th and 5th place. $750 to win. Champ188 and magicwormman 2
176champion Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 I'm headed to Kimberling City tomorrow to fish the Champion owners / Basscat Tourney....It's the one and only Tournament i fish and as it is a fund raiser for Fish 4 Tales and i suck at fishing anyways...lol Not as many tournaments this weekend as there where last year in the area. 96 CHAMP 1 I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything! Members slowbait Posted October 3, 2017 Members Posted October 3, 2017 If you do want to fish a cheep tourney, on Oct 21 His House is having their 2nd annual. Its from 7-3 out of Viola, $60 to enter including big bass. This benefit tourney is for a good cause and helps feed families. Sore Thumbs 1
