I wanna be a hammer.

I remember a day when you were a hammer.   You'll be a hammer again, I'm certain of it.   You just gotta find some more nails.  😀

I have held a hammer, swung a hammer, put the hammer down but never been hammered. Rather be the hammer than the nail but have been nailed before. I have been called a tool but do not think this has anything to do with the hammer type of tool? This is all confusing but hey I am not with the program and not privy to the new terminology.

If guys were keeping and eating fish they could only displace 12 of them before being over their possession limit, but with all the tournaments now we have guys (thousands of them) that each displace 20+ bass per month.

Nobody can eat that many fish without getting sick of them and wanting a change of diet.

C&R was a really good thing....until we started having 20 tournaments per month on every body of water in the country.    Now it's a problem that needs to be addressed.  The fix is easy, we have the technology and it's not expensive.  Why can't we just get to it and make the needed changes?

I admit,, the more I learn about how kayak tournaments work, the more I like the format compared to the traditional bass fishing tournament.

You'd think that tournament competitors would be anxious to adopt a scoring system that relieves them of the hassle involved in babysitting and culling fish.

If it ever happens I'm going to start converting those livewells and spray-bars into a cool water mister....to keep you cool on those hot July days. 😉

To me it's a sport completely out of control. The regatta page for LofO  shows 54 bass tournaments for the Lake of the Ozarks in Oct.  First of all 99% of the tournaments are a waste of time if your looking to make money.   Their are a select group of anglers that might be able to make a few dollars, but  most in the long run will go broke trying.  I'm all for people enjoying the competition of the sport and the businesses that rely on this economic boost, but there has to be some kind of sensible limits involved.
