snows, blues, and white fronted geese are not "sky carp"

Um yeah that's their nickname.  In geese you have 2 basic types.  SKY CARP = Snows, blues etc.  And YARD CARP = Canadas.

Pretty funny I have always thought of this. I will take out a snow if it presents itself but I am so darned tired after general season that under the late winter into spring snow goose conservation order there is no way I am killing them. That and it costs you more to do it. As far as Canada geese if you don't like eating them you are doing something wrong in your cooking method.  So I bet 99% of the complainers here are eating caged chicken and eggs produced that way, your pork same thing and then feedlot beef. There is nothing raised nastier then domestic meats. Most of the BilletHead food is not raised in their own crap :) .   Antibiotic and growth hormone free!

As for this season it has been a strange one, but one of the better one's I have had recently.  Spent many days in the field with my Son and friends.  Lots of laughs, hard work, long hikes, and seeing the ducks work into the decoys.  No complaints here other than some folks have no common courtesy in the marsh.  Until this freeze up we have had several really good hunts.  Now it is time to start dry field hunting ducks.  Can't wait.

It's bee an off and on season around here in the KC area. Either just a few ducks or a whole lot. had a few good hunts back in november then it shut down basically until This weekend. Went from 1 to 2 birds for our group to 7 that three of us shot Christmas eve. Popped 4 this morning as well before we all just got too dang cold.

Might have to give a Tablerock hunt a shot to extend teh season even just a little.
