Were they born on the wrong side of the tracks? Did you belong to the rich kids click in high school? You kind of sound like the big buck only hunters. Got to have a big rack. Isn't big enough. Not the right genetics, it will never grow drop tines. Too old, too young, needs to grow another couple of years before killing. I bet these koi could be stuffed with enough fish food to make them obese and worth catching for some. So koi have been introduced into waters and you are worried about them spreading diseases? Will these koi soon become naturalized like your introduced common carp when they are here long enough? Seems that was ok so why not koi? Remember KOI LIVES MATTER . The rule stands in Mom's pond. I am sure if you had some private stocker slipping in a few sickly trout in Taney or bass in LOZ and it killed off almost all the fish you can see my point...but if you have a buttload of koi, it would be smart to learn what the most valuable ones they look for are like..be a shame to stab one worth $1000 or more.....knew a guy that cast net one out of an HOA lake and sold it for $2200......needless to say i'd keep my eye out MONKEYS? what monkeys?
MOPanfisher Posted January 6, 2018 Posted January 6, 2018 I say release the Koi into the rivers. Can you imagine how much fun it would be to stick a gig in a 20 plus pound carp wannabe. Just a couple steps below gigging a beaver. BilletHead 1

MOPanfisher Posted January 6, 2018 Posted January 6, 2018 Gigging a beaver may sound funny but it isn't something you want to.do. the first time I went gigging one swam by and I was leaning into the stab when they started yelling at me. Apparently it's a very bad idea and tends to tick off the beaver.
