Trust me, nobody is gonna do anything to elicit a stop. It ain't about the 25 bucks.  If this bill passes then everybody is gonna know that operating above idle speed is gonna be probable cause for a stop.  And once stopped you and your crew are subject to a shakedown.   I challenge you to find a single party boat or wake boat without weed, coke, crank, or molly's AND A FIREARM onboard.

There won't be many wake violators, I promise ya.

Many of the big boats here are coast guard registered vessels, people do that to save huge on taxes, stupidly, but most don't read the fine print that says if you're operating a CG registered vessel with illegal drugs onboard it is a federal offense.  They keep those arrests out of the "news" because they love to surprise folks with that one.

How come you are such a hep cat on all the illegal stuff anyways?  Just askin....

Cuz I'm not blind.  I'm fully awake and aware of what goes on around me.  It's my duty as a person who is responsible for his own well being, and the well being of his children.

And I've been there/done that, and I'm smart enough to know that all that stuff didn't cease to happen just because I straightened MY act up.

"A hep cat"  That sounds pretty lame.   What's even more lame is that I might be telling you something that you don't already know.  You might wanna wake up.

He knows everything.  Either that or his wife is really smart.:)

You can get pretty smart if you aren't sleeping all the time.  Actually my wife used to tell me I was full of crap all the time..... but she has had to eat those words so many times that now she pays attention.

I don't consider myself all that bright, but I am frequently amazed by the stuff that alot of people don't seem to know.

Only thing I got to say about it s that it would be better than the gun fire solution. That use to go on here now and then around the lake. It is a good thing only boats got shot up and none exploded.  There was a guy not far from my old place on Lick Branch Cove got caught for it. Now days with stuff like sniper type riles large scopes and silencers. Somebody could manuever back roads on these country roads and wind up killing a bunch of people. With the present state of mind in this country I do not find it unvelievable.

I came in hot to Stoker's cove years ago, cut the throttle just inside the bouys, and a crazy old man fired a .22 round 3' over my bow.   Pretty extreme, and I was tempted to visit his place on land and kick his old butt at the time, but I'll admit that I have never blown through no-wake bouys since.

Sounds like you are adapting to your environment.

Lame?  Want to know what's lame?  Using lame in a sentence.  And what's even lamer is using it in two sentences in a row.
