Johnsfolly Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 I would like to see using the drone more like a planer board and release the line once the fish hits then you fight the fish on rod and reel. I know saltwater guys just use them to drop baits into a school of fish well off the shoreline. Haven't looked into using drones to drop baits and whether they would be allowed to drop a bait in a tailwater where you cannot get in with a boat. JestersHK 1

Members cracklebak Posted February 2, 2018 Members Posted February 2, 2018 Pretty awesome stuff. Wonder if a drone could handle a 15lb Brown?! Speaking of Phil's drone video, does anyone know what the depth is where Phil was headed toward (from Narrows to Lookout)? I have found resources on here with maps, one says 5-9 ft and another says 9-12 ft.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted February 2, 2018 Author Root Admin Posted February 2, 2018 Sorry I didn't get back to you... there are holes up to 10 feet, may be more, in that stretch. But it varies widely, even in the channel or along the bluff. cracklebak 1
snagged in outlet 3 Posted February 2, 2018 Posted February 2, 2018 There’s a dogleg in the narrows on a half unit that you have to stay river left going upstream.

That's a cool stretch of the river, seems like lots of structure and deep water.
