Whiting sells em for $99, I think. What makes that one special?

I don't know, and I'm not asking.

All I know is that I was back there poking around for some streamer hackle and my foot started sliding.  I look down and I'm standing on this speckled purple floor mat, then I notice the price tag :o

I picked it up and leaned it gently against the wall, and the next time I went in there it was back out in the middle of the floor again.    It became a running joke and now everytime I go in there I check on it.

I love a flyshop with character, and Reading's with it's perpetual state of ongoing construction is loaded with it.   It's like the Winchester mansion.  I like to imagine little Gremlins crawling out from under rocks in the wee hours of the night, moving stones around and mixing up little teacup sized wheelbarrows full of concrete.  The fact that nothing will ever get completed in our lifetime is heart warming.  There's no blueprint to any of it, it is all a dream from another dimension.

That is a fact and no truer words have been said.  The shop and its surroundings is a magical mystery tour all should take at least once.

Don't mention politics or you'll have to move in before he finishes.  I love going there and wandering around, it is amazing.

Haven’t been to Bennet in years, even thought it’s the closest trout spot to me. We’ve been Roaring River folks due to family tradition that predates me. It’s been fun reading about this fly shop — don’t remember if I ever went when I was there. Makes me wanna get down there, though. February always has me thinking.
