MOPanfisher Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 Turns out it is Shingles I caught. When it is also in yur eye you get to walk out of the Dr. Office and into he Optometrist office for more treatments. Should it ever be a choice between shingles or a shotgun blast of rock salt to the face take the shotgun. I never realized how much your hair/skin contracts and moves until every time it does causes a wave of burning pain across your scalp. However I still wake up and look down at the ground, and thank God for giving me another day. And I can still worry about things like what the rains have done to the walleye fishing! Ham Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 I’m sorry you’re having to deal with that. It’s a long, uphill grind I’m afraid. Take care of yourself and start researching treatment options. You will eventually feel better. MOPanfisher 1 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish

Bummer city dude! The BilletHead has been told by his Doc it is about time to start taking the vaccine for shingles. Johnsfolly Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 Good luck MOPanfisher and stay strong during your treatment. You have to get out and catch some walleye, crappie and panfish. We need to see your successcul posts as well as the meals that will follow those trips! MOPanfisher 1
TRRANGER Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 Sorry about the Shingle, I had a friend who suffered with them and I wish that on no one. May you heal quickly. MOPanfisher 1
dan hufferd Posted February 22, 2018 Posted February 22, 2018 Been there, I feel for you. For me it was like large fiberglass that went right to the nerve. Best remedy for me was to stay busy. I wish I had more info for you.

Went to work today but nobody want me around since it is somewhat contagious and the blister stage. I am gonna try to work from home some, but the painkillers they prescribed are pretty stout, sometimes things don't quite seem to make sense. So no reloading ammo or such as that. timinmo 1

Stay away from the ammo. Fishing should help. Ham 1
JUNGLE JIM 1 Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Sorry, that's a real b!tch and from what I've heard it certainly isn't a picnic. I've been putting off getting a shot for years now but will certainly look into treatment soon because of your thread. Thanks!!
