How do they charge a fee?

Beats me.  I'd contact the COE if I ran into a fee at one of those ramps and get some clarification.

I've used a ramp on the Kings River (near a resort) and they insist on a fee and come to the ramp to collect.

I was told that if you cross private property to get to the ramp that the owners of that private property can charge a fee leaving the person paying that they were paying the fee for the ramp.  True?

It’s my understanding that Johnny charges to launch at his place in Long Creek.

launched there several times the last 4 years and never paid a penny. According to a worker on that property 4 years ago, my yearly COE mirror tag is good enough. Never been told differently.

It looks like the driveway of the south ramp at Bridgeport would be in the highway easement, I guess I will find out.

Hopefully soon.
