Gavin Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 Haven't seen the collection yet. Some good tiers in this one. Was tempted. Might get a gold mine instead of the shaft in this one.

When Mrs. BilletHead had her chemo she was give it through a port in her chest. Something ruby red was one of them. I remember the apprehension we both had when the chemo nurse came in dressed in almost a full body suit, face shield and gauntlet gloves up to her armpits. We watched her push that stuff through the clear tube directly into her chest. The lady said it was some bad stuff that could cure cancer and give you cancer . I dunno, but the low heat really fixed it good and quick. John
tjm Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 I wasn't zactly sure what Zap ( used other brands but not zap) was and checked it out, the list of things it works on does not state foam and the fact that they make one for foam indicates something, I never knew they made an accelerator for CA either before .
fishinwrench Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 Little FYI:. If you look at the label on a bottle of Zap a Gap, and then look at the label on the Super glue they sell at Dollar General you might notice that it comes from the same place. Bob Gaston pointed that out to me years ago.
tjm Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 bondini was always my go to, yeah that company makes many brands and that is why zap-a-gap is unfamiliar to me Quote .quora.com Cyanoacrylates descended from Eastman Kodak’s 910, originally sold by them as embalmers cement. They all operate on the same principle: moisture polymerization. Every surface exposed to air accumulates a small amount of moisture which causes the cyanoacrylate to polymerize. Some is lower viscosity than others depending on the formulation. But when they touch a surface exposed to air, they begin to polymerize forming a solid which we refer to as glue. So, maybe not enough moisture on the failed applications, and also mentioned that fresh cut or broken items don't as well as older breaks because of lack of moisture. I've seen CA mixed with baking soda as a crack filler and that might be useful to you.
BilletHead Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 Yep I have read the same thing. Here is the link so Ness fill your crack with baking soda and it wont hurt if your crack is damp at the time , http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/magazine/2004/10/stuff_eng_tech_ca_glue.htm BilletHead "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!"
