I thought it was interesting considering the argument of moving bass around in tourneys. We really don't know what impact that is having. If they dumped 130-280 copperheads across the street from your house every day, do you think you'd have a better chance of getting bitten than me?
snagged in outlet 3 Posted April 20, 2018 Author Posted April 20, 2018 Of course that's why people fish in PB 2. Including the MLF winner I believe. My point was aside from what we are doing to the bass maybe its affecting the frog population in some way we don't understand. Or any other species in the lake not just the bass.
tjm Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 Just the building of the lakes destroyed a lot of habitat for many critters from cricket frogs to bats. I have no doubt that moving fish or stocking fish impacts more than just the fish or the anglers. There is a story that i have forgotten, about the movement of a butterfly's wings creating effects on the far side of the Earth. All the things on Earth impact all the other things. Maybe some giant flatheads learn there's some tasty 2 lb bass that get periodically dumped in certain locations. Dazed and confused, they'd be easy money. Kind of like those California bass that chomp down hatchery trout when the hatchery trucks dump them in the lake. grizwilson, snagged in outlet 3 and Daryk Campbell Sr 3
oneshot Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 Well there isn't as many being eaten as there use to be. Remember many stringers that use to go home. I still take them home if they are legal but to me they are just fish. oneshot
