Sore Thumbs Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 You did it have a tongue patch? Or was it smooth?
Gavin Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 Not a mean mouth, hate that term. Looks like a smallie spot hybrid. Seth Clarkson and Flysmallie 1 1

I didn't think to check, would that have been a for sure confirmation? I need to start paying more attention. I was too excited about catching a decent fish, for the first time this year and snapping some pics, then releasing it that I didn't think about it. Sore Thumbs and Daryk Campbell Sr 2
Champ188 Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 What about a tongue patch? Did it have one? On a serious note, that's the best way to tell. Nice fish either way. Seth Clarkson 1

If you say you caught a hybrid down here, people assume it's a white/striper hybrid. So I will stick to calling them means.  I hate the term smallie spot hybrid.  vernon and Champ188 1 1
Gavin Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 Well carry on. You know what it really is. Bars below the lareral line is the tell on that fish,😀
Longball22 Posted April 23, 2018 Posted April 23, 2018 Quill, I think you need to talk to EGO about some compensation for all of those pretty fish in their net. Champ188 1
