fishinwrench Posted May 23, 2018 Posted May 23, 2018 $10 ? I got reamed! Had to replace a capacitor 2 years ago and that SOB was 300 and change. Someone with HVAC knowledge please tell me if I got hosed. 😥
Flysmallie Posted May 23, 2018 Author Posted May 23, 2018 9.15 plus tax to be exact. Your's looks like separate start and run capacitors so maybe that's why it was so high. No wait. I spent enough dollars and time studying electronic design in college to know that you got hosed. $300 might be the going price and be the same that everyone is paying for that particular cap but come on. Have you seen the insides? It's not rocket science. Maybe you unit was designed by Mercury!! snagged in outlet 3 1

At some point someone replaced the OEM dual cap with 2 singles (as pictured). Nothing wrong with that. Charging you 3 bills to replace it was criminal... I can't dance like I used to.

bfishn Posted May 23, 2018 Posted May 23, 2018 3 bills to replace a primer bulb ought to make it about right. I can't dance like I used to.
