These weren’t that big but still peeled off line like nobody’s business. You have to work to land and unhook them without bleeding. MOPanfisher, JestersHK and Johnsfolly 1 1 1

Flysmallie Posted July 10, 2018 Author Posted July 10, 2018 Well that was a fun time but I never got a shot at those sharks. Seems the days that we didn't have anything going on there was a horrible headwind along with big waves and no chance of fly fishing that. I've tried that on previous trips. Should have stayed there on Friday but Tiff and I bolted early for a charter. Which was plenty of fun. We saw plenty of storms and one that rushed the fireworks display but it was probably one of our best trips down there. I saw the end of the rainbow and that pot of gold story is a lie. I get questions sometimes about how you fish the beach. In this pic you can see some of the ledges. And in the very center of all white of the crashing waves you see a dark spot? That's a hole and will hold some amazing fish. This is also where the hammerheads were hanging out. If you ever get a chance to see Voodoo Gumbo you really should. Best cover band ever. Second year we have seen them at the beach. ColdWaterFshr, Daryk Campbell Sr, snagged in outlet 3 and 2 others 5

I don't remember. Everybody always says we should go someplace new but I kind of like being a regular. We've already done all the touristy BS and now just have a good time. I went a whole 48 hours without getting into a vehicle. Haven't been a souvenir store in years. Eat at a few new places each time. Only tried two new ones this year. One was more expensive that what it should have been and one was expensive but the service also sucked. Once you learn the ways of the natives it's an awesome place. Would love to live there someday.
