put in at 9 quit at 1 and just flat caught them.  same as we have been doing.  the big flopper and a 1 oz. spinjig 20 to 25 ft. deep way out on flatter stuff.  of course the better spots have lots of bait in the area.  we caught way over 20 keepers, and at least 8 over 3 lbs.  those 3 lb. plus brownies just pull like freight trains.

over the weekend, the wind was a bear saturday night, and sunday night, they had front- itis, but we still caught 8 keepers saturday and 10 keepers sunday evening.  still doing the same thing.  tonight they had gathered back up and there was lots of numbers on a spot.

kind of like the old days but very few lmgs, and minus the big ones.  but, 3 lb. brownies are flat fun to catch.

Fished mid lake with my dad last night from 7-12. Ended with 8 keepers. Jigs and a big ole worm caught em. We were deeper fishing drops and cedar trees. 35-50. Casting into 25 bringing it out the bite would come as the bait was gliding down the drop. WT 89 at 7 87.5 when we pulled out.

Here is the deal, I think everywhere is fishing fantastic right now.  My clients that caught the walleye yesterday fished Sunday and Monday on Truman.  Limited on Sunday on crappie with spider rigs and then caught blue cats Monday till they got sick of it.  Trolling and drifting shad and perch heads on bottom bouncers.

Limited on crappie in under 2 hrs. and said they had 30-40 blue cat up to 28 pounds with lots of them in the slot.

Good Buddy on Lake O said its on fire on a big red worm.  Had 3 over 7 last night and  several 4 pounders to go with them.  Said day time dock fishing away from the traffic is also really good.  Spooks on the dock ends and jigs and big worms around in the shade.

Good time to be on a vacation in Missouri

Donna and I were all set to go tomorrow (Friday). Work has kept us off the water way longer than we'd like.

A/C guy came out today to do a seasonal tuneup on our 3-year-old heat pump ... replaced a valve under warranty and added freon. An hour after he left, the darn thing was blowing marginally cool air and wouldn't cool the house lower than 76. So, tomorrow morning, instead of fishing, we sit here and wait for him to come back and fix what he screwed up.

You guys owe me because I have a feeling that, unlike my house, the bite is going to cool way down if I ever I get up there.
