Members Dbeard4u Posted October 12, 2018 Members Posted October 12, 2018 I was out there last Sunday in Piney creek (launch from Cape Fair) the fish were breaking surface chasing shad all around the Boat. I could swear that they were Muskies. The fish were long (maybe Walleye) dorsal in the mid back. I threw top water at them without a taker, but two short hits and the Keitech with a flashy spinner. What was I seeing breaking the surface all around? Were these Bass? This is my first year fishing here on table rock. I have managed to snare a few bass in 5 trips to the lake. None what I would call true Keepers. Anyone have an idea what I was seeing there?

Longball22 Posted October 12, 2018 Posted October 12, 2018 Agree with Bo, and they aren't usually chasing shad. They actually come up and gulp air to fill their swim bladder.
Champ188 Posted October 12, 2018 Posted October 12, 2018 Saber-toothed Ozarkian muskies. 😀 merc1997 Bo and big c 2

176champion Posted October 13, 2018 Posted October 13, 2018 They will hit pretty much anything flashy, my son had one hooked last week it was about a 6 footer. I told him that in no way to bring that stinking fish into boat, thankfully it got off right at boat. big c and dan hufferd 1 1 I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything!
