Dude!  This is flannel shirt weather, not down coat weather!

Rain gear time this morning.  Nothing like taking the dog for a stroll on a cold, rainy morning.

Wednesday and Thursday of next week look like good fishing day's.

I was out there last Sunday in Piney creek (launch from Cape Fair) the fish were breaking surface chasing shad all around the Boat. I could swear that they were Muskies. The fish were long (maybe Walleye) dorsal in the mid back. I threw top water at them without a taker,  but two short hits and the Keitech with a flashy spinner. What was I seeing breaking the surface all around? Were these Bass? This is my first year fishing here on table rock. I have managed to snare a few bass in 5 trips to the lake. None what I would call true Keepers. Anyone have an idea what I was seeing there?

I Remember when i first got a boat,  i was chasing gar half the day throwing topwater thinking they were bass. Then i finally realized i wasted a solid 4 hours.  They are thick up the James this time of year

They will hit a spoon, and you can get them up to the boat before they come unbuttoned. It's a hoot !

They will hit pretty much anything flashy, my son had one hooked last week it was about a 6 footer. I told him that in no way to bring that stinking fish into boat, thankfully it got off right at boat.

I know everything about nothing and know nothing about everything!
