I got our this morning for a few hours. Drop shoting and spooning was out of the question with the winds so high.   I decided to throw reaction ( cranks, spinner, etc.) baits over humps and points.   Worked out ok.  I only caught 5 barely legal fish with one nice sized bass.  Water temp wasn’t as cool as I had hoped it was still 76.  Hopefully fishing will get on fire soon with cooler temps on the way.  Here’s the biggest fish caught.  Well  be safe out there guys and good luck

Nice one!  I talked to a friend that fished a club tourney on Tuesday, some limits were caught, and several nice smallmouth in the 3+ range were weighed in.  Things are looking up!

That’s great to hear.  Won’t be long now I hope.  I’m looking forward to big bass and even bigger striper

Great bass Dan! Can't wait to see some more bass and stripers from Beaver!

We're just figuring out the tidal creeks and bays here in MD. Bank fishing for us has not been as productive for larger stripers. Catching small stripers. And I mean small 😌.

I thought you prederred the small guys.  I will be teaching the boy scouts how to micro fish this weekend.

We do! That picture was taken when Livie and I were actually trying to catch needlefish with a white and chartreuse trout magnet jig body on a unweighted hook. I caught one needlefish and she kept catching these baby stripers.

Good luck with the microfishing! Post your results and photos!

The temp drop 1 degree yesterday and that made a big difference. The wind was blowing pretty hard yesterday’s and the fish were still schooling up above and below the water. It’s definitely heating up out there.  I got several bass yesterday and even a few whites.
