Johnsfolly Posted October 18, 2018 Posted October 18, 2018 Congrats to those o you that have taken some eater deer! Good luck everyone on you upcoming hunts. They are starting to harvest corn here and the deer are hitting those fields hard. Lots of private land with most of them being leased at a price higher than I am willing to pay for a deer. Hoping to get out some when i am back in MO next week. Daryk Campbell Sr and JestersHK 2
Johnsfolly Posted October 19, 2018 Posted October 19, 2018 We were on a ridge line last Saturday in a state park and came across four of these guys without even really trying hard. Unfortunately this in not a park that I can bowhunt . JestersHK and Daryk Campbell Sr 2
Johnsfolly Posted October 19, 2018 Posted October 19, 2018 Yesterday there was a surprise. My daughter took this picture at 3 pm from the kitchen window. Here's a close-up. My trail camera will be seeing if this guy and some of the others seen in the woodlot stick around while we are in Missouri. duckydoty, BilletHead, JestersHK and 1 other 4

Hope that he sticks around after we get back. JestersHK 1

JestersHK Posted October 19, 2018 Author Posted October 19, 2018 When we had coyotes in our back yard I had the crossbow propped next to our window LOL. Never got a chance though... Johnsfolly 1

Never got a chance though... They are hyper aware of change/movement to be sure...I have drawn on a few and they almost always get unnerved before I can release. Have some trail cam bobcat pics this year and maybe it will come sneaking by and I’ll observe his reaction....I called in a lion some years ago while turkey hunting and KNOW how they react.....😬. He went one way, I went the other.... Mike Daryk Campbell Sr and Johnsfolly 2
Flysmallie Posted October 19, 2018 Posted October 19, 2018 I had the chance at one of the biggest 8 pointers I have ever seen on Wednesday. Luckily I saw him and jammed on the brakes. He was standing on the center line of Hwy 13. I was lucky to spot him in time to slow down and get as far to the left as I could. I went by him at less than 20 mph while he just stood there and stared at me like I was an idiot. Never freaking moved. JestersHK, nomolites, BilletHead and 1 other 4
