Do you put on your outboard motor per month.  I'm just wondering how my usage compares.  I've been 170 times since I bought my motor in Aug. of 2016 and have put 157 hours on it so I guess that is 50+ minutes per trip average but I did a lot more running in the initial 10 hour break in.

I try to launch as close as possible to the area I plan to fish, so it's rare that I run further than 10-15 miles from there.  So even if I fished every single day I'd only average 30 minutes per day, or less, on my outboard.

How many limits of fish do you suppose the average guy drives past in a day's time?

Really Outboards need to be run. If I had another boat I would try running it 3+ times a week year round. My last Boat was a 18/60 with 70HP Nissan. I can't explain to my wife it was just too big for the Niangua River. I sold it so I no longer am able to buy another.

I'd like to have a 16/48 with about a 20+ HP Motor on it.

Sometimes you just have to go with it's easier to apologize than to get permission.  Plus if she's down and you're taking care of everything how is she going to know unless you can't keep your trap shut?
