Unlike Wrench, I'm perfectly adapted to my environment.  Grew up and still live in the burbs.  You get your groceries locally your way and I get mine my way locally.  I buy meat from the local butcher shop and it's local, no antibiotics or BGH.  As near as anyone can guarantee I guess.  I get beef from a different guy than I do pork or chicken.  It would be difficult to live off the land around my house and then throw in still work a full time job.

Poultry for lunch!!  Gobble, gobble. Boars Head.  Like everyday for the past 30 years plus.

Did you not say you buy "Premium" steaks from Sam's or Cosco?  Not that I do not eat other meats I purchase but do you really know the history of each slice or bite you put into your mouth? Other than peas that are a no go place?

No I don't.  Don't care either.  It's what I got.

Yeah prime beef from Costco.  Love it.

I get it and if I were in the same situation I would too if funds allowed. I just feel fortunate to live where I do and have what I have been blessed with.

Boar's head makes a darn fine Canadian White Wax Cheddar.  Pairs nicely with some super thin sliced Volpi salami and MO Bakery bread.    You probably don't know anything about Volpi do you SIO3?

Daughter is making a holiday run to the Hill today. That and today is her B-day.  Bread from Amighetti, Salami and mortadella from Volpi, a panattone and cookies from Missouri bakery and wines from vivianos.

I bought some 8 year aged cheddar from a guy from WI at the Oktoberfest this year.  Unbelievable.

I'd say that since 75 hunters only killed 17 deer that almost all were strictly hunting racks instead of meat.

I'd be curious to know how many mature bucks were taken.

It was Antlerless only hunt, they were allowed 3 each.

Its been years since I've eaten Beef much less Store Bought meat but with my health it is harder to get out in the woods.

All that nonsense about the impurities in store bought beef/chicken/pork is just FAKE NEWS that you've allowed to be programmed into your brain.

The deer around here are currently seeking out the greenest grass they can find.....which happens to be over the top of septic laterals.   So your "ultra-pure" deer loins are probably laced with all your neighbors anti-depressants, birth control, and thyroid medication.   😅
