I found it interesting that both items are released the same day.

yeah, not sure how you go about revoking or suspending a poacher either, it's like saying "it's against the law for you to break the again" ..

😄 Makes you wonder if the judge had dismissed the case.... would he have still gotten the award ?  🤣

So who the heck buys a mounted deer head?  Do you hang it on the wall and brag to your friends and tell them a fake story about how you shot that deer?

I know two people that bought elk heads for their lodges out in Colorado.  No bragging, just wanted "the look" for the lodge.

Isn't there a place along 65 south of Springfield that sells them??

Could be a place that sells them, but it is something I wouldn't buy, so I don't know.  I could see people getting them for the "lodge look".

But...

Everyone that is a hunter is going to see it and ask:  "Where did you shoot that big boy?"

"Well actually I bought that at Jacks' racks and stacks."

You ever been in a bass pro or cabelas ? or any of ten dozen (thousand) restaurant that have dead heads hanging on the walls? Search the net for whitetail mounts, some over 3 grand.

I think you posted while I was typing slowly , but I never heard of Big Cedar, so would not have known that. Point though is commercial places don't shoot the heads on the wall and there is a market.

Sorry.  It's a resort owned by Johnny Morris at Tablerock that features lodge style cabins.  Every one of them has stuffed animals or some sort.  Just like you said, commercial places don't shoot them they buy them for "the look"
