Members Stanley Posted January 19, 2019 Members Posted January 19, 2019 Howdy everybody! New Ugly Guy, originally from western/central Pennsylvania. I recently relocated to the Kansas City area and had an opportunity to fish Lake Tanneycomo a few weeks ago. I had a great time, beautiful country and beautiful water. Look forward to exploring the region further. JestersHK, Lake Lover, Bushbeater and 4 others 7

Johnsfolly Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 Welcome to the forum! Where in PA are you from? I've lived on both ends of the state. Outside of Pittsburgh and over in Allentown and Bethlehem. Wife's family is from Reading.
fishinwrench Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 I drove through PA once. Beautiful place! Georgous streams! I bet the winters are a bit'ch illy though.
Members Stanley Posted January 19, 2019 Author Members Posted January 19, 2019 Thanks everyone. I grew up in Erie, attended Penn State and spent the last 18 years in Pittsburgh. I was stationed at Leonard Wood in the late 80s, I'm enjoying Missouri much more this time around. The snow in Erie was pretty rough, I believe last year they got about 120". I still own a camp close to Erie and return to fish the tribs for steelhead, and the lake for perch and walleye. It's a beautiful city 4 or 5 months a year. 😀 Johnsfolly and Daryk Campbell Sr 2
Quillback Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 Welcome Stanley! I always think of making a steelhead trip to fish one of the runs up in the Great Lakes. Used to fish for them in the Northwest and I sure do miss it.
Johnsfolly Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 Never got up to Erie to fish. Closest I've got was a couple of trips to Lake pymatuning for musky. Never caught a one. You will enjoy. Missouri. Daryk Campbell Sr 1

It's becoming a pretty good musky lake. Did you fish any others in the area? Tamarack used to a great lake for musky, it's now a field. Chautauqua, over NY line, is a fantastic musky lake.
fshndoug Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 I live in the kc area independence mo to be exact.I fish taney quite often maybe I could show you ropes.

Now that I am in Maryland, I will likely try to get together a few PA trips. I have heard that Nockamixon north of Philly has become a musky lake.
