Johnsfolly Posted July 10, 2019 Posted July 10, 2019 I believe that we have Brandywines and maybe another heirloom variety (wife dealt with them this year) and know that we have yellow pear and red cherry tomatoes on the porch. Just starting to ripen. Fish24/7 1

Johnsfolly Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 Livie released her last swallowtail butterfly a few days ago. This was a male. So fifty fifty split males and females. Fish24/7 1
Fish24/7 Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 I've never eaten a purple tomato😱probably try those next year. My mystery tomato turned out to be a Nebraska Wedding Orange type! Picked the first zucchinis and yellow squash this week, found a softball sized I think it's a muskmelon if I remember right I forgot to mark the plants. It was hiding under leaves and was a surprise to see! The rest are still little bitty. There are 9 sugar baby watermelons about baseball size too. Here's the inside of a Belgian Giant . Picky fussy plants but worth the effort imo. They are bout 7' tall now! Johnsfolly, tho1mas and MOPanfisher 3

MOPanfisher Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 My purple Cherokee never turned day on the outside. I do love all of them, but a nice brandywine is my favorite, sliced, chunked, added to cukes and onions and even warm off the vine.
Fish24/7 Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Had that dish with some scrambled eggs! Not too bad
