As a pet owner, it is your responsibility to attend to your pets. If they stray and cause harm to another land owner, its a case of animal abuse and the animal owner is at fault. I have seen it in action several times in my subdivision. Neighbor shot a weiner dog that attempted to bite his kid while the owner was at church. Weiner dog made it thru the doggy door into the floor in front of couch before he bled out and died. Neighbor came home from church and found it, started throwing the monkey my way. Guy who shot the dog fessed up, fight ensued, Deputies arrived. Wrote the dog owner a ticket for animal abuse. Wait... You live in a subdivision? I pictured you as a bee keeping, veggie growing, feral cat shooting country boy. 😀 BilletHead and MoCarp 2 John

jdmidwest Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 Its a rural gathering of homes. I still have room to sling a dead cat. The way the deputies explain it around here, its inhumane to let an animal out of your control as a pet. Has nothing to do with a leash law. A pet is something you nurture and care for constantly. To let it roam free is just neglect. And a fine. And, Missouri is a Stand Your Ground, Castle Doctrine state. Any threat can be dealt with lethally. A person has the right to protect themselves and family from a biting dog. Its owner does not have to be warned. fishinwrench Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 If I ever shot anybody's dog, or even cat that wasn't bothering anything..... I'd have to turn the gun on myself afterwards because I wouldn't be able to live with myself. I don't understand some people. Deadstream 1

Well when said cat is crapping in my garage and in the mulch around my garden while running wild what shall I do? BilletHead A wild feral cat is a different case. I can't have one crawling around in my customers boats, so if I can't persuade them to fund another place to play.....then yeah. I'm talking about people's pets here.
BilletHead Posted February 20, 2019 Posted February 20, 2019 It is a pet, Not taken care of running as it chooses. Marking everything in garage. Stinks like cat in there. A frigging skunk! You and your dogs know about skunks right? This added fuel to the fire and I get even more fired up with this east wind and the skunk essence that comes with it .
