Johnsfolly Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 Photos don't do this fish justice. First cast grass carp at Rim Shoals. Would love to say that I caught it. I was tying on a jig when Ham set the hook. I figured it to be between 38 and 42 inches. I knew it was a big fish when Ham said don't worry about the net. It won't fit. laker67, Terrierman, Quillback and 1 other 3 1

I've been fishing here on the White for the last year and a half and don't remember ever catching a bass. Amazing to see a largemouth pic in the mix. That guy musta been lost. Ham caught 3 or 4 LM's the day I fished with him. Terrierman and Johnsfolly 2

Ham's was a largemouth. Les' may have been a spot. Weather and water were not our friends on Sunday. You can deal with one or the other. Both being bad ran us off the water by 10:30. I landed only five stockers and none of us cracked double digit fish landed. Quillback 1

You are not too many short and this is why we want a total of all of us at Jig Fest. You would of made the rest of us feel good, better if you wouldn't of told us your total , BilletHead "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" I’m a little disappointed we didn’t figure out how to photograph it with an object near it to help with scale. I should have thrown the paddle in the water and eased the fish over near the paddle. It was truly a River Monster. Like 40 inches long. As long as my leg ( And I have long legs). That fish scared me because I thought it was s Brown Trout and after a few normal pulls, it smacked like 20-30 yards of line in a run. I was Happy we got to see it. I was Happy we got it boatside. I wish we had a Musky Cradle. Another Story for the Ages. Johnsfolly 1 Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish

Just a guess but perhaps the White is warmer now than the tributaries and the bass have figured that out.
