Amery Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 You’ve heard my story before, the twins are 7 now. They are still non verbal for the most part and considered a borderline level 2 autistic. We do lots of outdoor adventures during the days but dad gets to fish solo once they go to sleep. I’m enjoying pushing the boundaries of fishing at night from trout and walleye to big reservoir largemouth to neosho stain smallmouth. This time of the year it’s the white bass. This makes the third year I’ve had success. Had some largemouth going for the clousers the other night patfish, timinmo, Bass Yakker and 12 others 15

JestersHK Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 All my ugly casting, short rods, and other imperfections are all hidden in the darkness! Thankfully I can catch em in the daylight too. Johnsfolly and BilletHead 1 1
Johnsfolly Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 I don't mind fishing in the dark if I am familiar with the water. Haven't done hardly any fly fishing in the dark. Too worried about my back cast (which gets me in trouble even when I can see ). Also you never know what you are going to get into when you go meet some guy from an internet fishing forum at a tailwater at night to try for a brown trout . JestersHK 1

Fly line let's you set a repeatable cast length that is just short of being hung up, I never got that efficient with other tackle. As I age though I have more trouble wading at night. Johnsfolly 1
