Ketchup I am looking forward to the recap of the tournament. You could not have found worse time to do one.

There really isn't much to tell, as far as the fishing goes.  The tournament location got moved to Shawnee Bend the evening before, and I think I could have done better up the Niangua. We caught about 20lbs. worth of 14 1/2 inchers, never saw a keeper all day.  There was a jig/dock pitching bite that produced just often enough to keep us trying, and a C-rig bite that was just good enough to keep us trying.  Boat traffic after 10:30 was rediculous in the Shawnee Bend area so that killed the idea of running 20 miles up here to catch 'em in my back yard.

Had a great time though, Ketchup is a solid dude and a good fisherman. We were pretty laid back about it.  I had fun and actually felt pretty good about keeping my livewell dry and not having to relocate any nice fish.  😊

I'm pretty sure that we will fish together again, or at least gather to shoot some airguns and cook some food.  That's what it's all about.  👍

Those 14' are a problem down the gravois to Wrench. I and my neighbor went out about 6 last evening to pre fish a rea he is taking a visiting friend tomorrow. I am not saying where we were but 14' was the standard all week. for me a few days I got a few better fish mixed in it. Last evening it was all dinks then in about 20 minutes we both caught a fish right short of 18' and about 31/2 lbs I caught another one that size a couple days ago. But other than that the few keepers I caught ran 15-16 ' I think this is a good example of what taking keepers and carrying them of in a live well 10 miles away

I have to agree.  There is absolutely no other reason why we couldn't catch a keeper.  I have fished enough Spring's that I know how to catch keepers....IF there are very many there.

All the keepers in this lake are out wandering around lost, looking for another place to call home.... until they get caught and moved again.
