oneshot Posted May 21, 2019 Posted May 21, 2019 Went through the park, water is up and over the Wood Bridge but Spring still looks good. Just hope we don't get too much rain tonight. oneshot

Gavin Posted May 21, 2019 Posted May 21, 2019 Hope it took out all the stupid yellow cones and headknockers by the new unsatisfactory bridge. Could not take my truck across it with a kayak on the ladder rack. What an ugly site it is! Flysmallie 1

oneshot Posted May 22, 2019 Author Posted May 22, 2019 Ok I went to a meeting last Fall, they was going to take the Bridge out but after talking with locals found that it was needed and it was agreed to build a much better Bridge. When I seen the New Bridge I was very surprised and thought this was not what was agreed on. Is there anything that can be done to correct this? At the same meeting they said they was going to take out the Swimming Pool. At the time I felt it was a bad idea and still do. People come to a State Park like this expecting more than fishing. I feel they are losing to other Camp Sites in the area. I really do like the area as far as a place to Picnic. oneshot snagged in outlet 3 1
fishinwrench Posted May 22, 2019 Posted May 22, 2019 That place brings in plenty of money. I can't imagine a valid reason for all this "going cheap" and "cutting corners" attitude. snagged in outlet 3 1

The place could be very nice and the area depends on it but it's like they no longer care. oneshot

I wonder if an ambulance could make its way into that end of the park. Also, I know they have property up the hill to the left that is lived in by park personnel. How about a fire truck?

Well the ambulance or fire truck SHOULD be coming from the other direction anyway, so naturally they would come in the other entrance, or from the O Rd. station. They seem to have some piss poor management decisions going on. They spent a LOT of money updating and upsizing the hatchery.....and they don't even use it to anything close to it's potential.
