If the water levels stay like this, float fishing might not be as good, but it makes for great jet boat fishing. We fished the Gasconade out of Bell chutes yesterday and did really well on just about everything we threw. Smallies were chomping and stacked up in certain areas. Largemouth still being finicky though. Only a few caught and only one over 2#. We finally caught a couple smallies near that 18" mark. One guy ran dang near to Riddle Bridge and said it was easy running.

Huge plug of water coming down the B. Piney today. Will have to try this again once we get some stable weather. Would be up for a plan B..but not much looks good right now. Might have to go lake fishing.

Yep, the last 24 hours have not been encouraging.

Little Niangua doesn’t look bad. It shows it’s going up, but I don’t think that will last.

Another big plug on the Gasconade  Hazelgreen gauge up 5000 cfs today. Not sure where plan B may be.

You could find a Short Bend or a Prong or a Fork to float, but that doesn’t work well with groups, I’d rather drag and float those anyway.

Was hoping for a group camp and disperse to fish on some lazy semi clear rivers with nice bass this weekend. Not gonna happen. Let’s pick another time  because it will be fun. Headwater stretches and spring fed creek mouths s/b good.
