Fishrman Posted July 5, 2019 Posted July 5, 2019 Fished till noon today. Glad I did. Caught too many yo count. Caught all of them on 6xd. Don't know how many keepers but I'd say double digits. Biggest one was a little over 4. I've been waiting on them to get there and they have started. I think more are still coming. Good luck. Royal Blue, merc1997 Bo, Jadesjigs and 6 others 9
Royal Blue Posted July 5, 2019 Posted July 5, 2019 Good to know. That bite has been really hit or miss so far this year.
Fishrman Posted July 5, 2019 Author Posted July 5, 2019 Flats is where we found them. We were cranking. Not necessarily point oriented either. Just need some slight depth change. Hunter53 1

m&m Posted July 5, 2019 Posted July 5, 2019 Fishrman, sounds like a great day. You fished till noon? We saw boaters, tubers, skiers and jet skis out very early. Mike crazy4fishin 1
Sprint21fter Posted July 5, 2019 Posted July 5, 2019 Spoon bite has been starting to go too! magicwormman, Quillback and Hunter53 3
Fishrman Posted July 5, 2019 Author Posted July 5, 2019 We were grinding it. After you hit bottom they really liked it stopped and pulled. Similar to the way I fish a wart. Saw plenty of pleasure boats out as well but that's what happens on the 4 th. So for a holiday your can't beat the results. In my opinion. Hunter53, Royal Blue, Quillback and 1 other 4
Fishrman Posted July 5, 2019 Author Posted July 5, 2019 Also they really liked specific angles. You had to figure that out at each spot Quillback and Royal Blue 2
